Our little Heidi is 26 mos old today. I miss her.
Started our day with laundry and had it all done by 10:15 am!! Then went into the town of West Yellowstone to try to work on the blog outside of Best Western. That didn’t work so went to the town library and worked 3 hours and got the blog up to date again. Nice little library, very friendly people.
After the library we had lunch and then went to the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone. They had indoor and live exhibits. In the front they had a grizzly statue.
There was a grizzly diarama inside.
But we preferred outside with the live exhibits.
There were a lot of ravens flying around the bears. The bears ignored them.
One of the grizzlies walked over and got into a man-made pond. My camea wasn’t ready for his walk so this is the best I got.
Next we took in the live exhibit of the wolves. They were very pretty, light ones, dark ones, sunning themselves and going after the ravens.
Inside there was a beautiful sculpture of a wolf.
Another part of the exhibit showed the traps men use to trap the grizzlies who have become nuisance bears. If a bear tastes human food, he will always go back and try to get more and become a nuisance. So it’s best not to leave any human food around.
After the Discover Center, we went back to the campground and just took it easy before heading off again tomorrow.
Awww, a big teddy bear couch...I think Heidi needs one of those for her playroom, don't ya think?!? NOT!
