Left Austerlitz at 10 am. Drove to Pennsylvania, stayed at Yogi Bear’s Shangri La in Milton, PA. Beautiful day. Took walk, ate ice cream, met some neighbors, Jan and Shirley Bixby, two retired University employees, who told us about Quilt Odyssey in Hershey, PA. Fred suggested we stay for the show. Rained all night, about 76 degrees.
Sunday, Aug 2
Went to Quilt Odyssey, saw the Susquehanna river on our drive. Saw some awesome quilts, left a little $ for the locals. Fred read a book. Came back and chatted with Jan and Shirley re show, kids, etc. Shirley showed me her Dear Jane blocks. Sprinkled in morning. About 83 degrees and humid.
